Seniors Survey

Bundaberg Regional Council, in conjunction with the Bundaberg Seniors Alliance, is conducting this survey to better understand the communication, engagement and participation preferences and interests of Seniors; and to identify Seniors who may be interested in joining the Seniors Alliance to assist us in identifying and working with us to address issues being experienced by our ageing population.

The results of the survey will assist us to facilitate, partner, support and/or promote opportunities for increased social inclusion.

Seniors Alliance

The Seniors Alliance meets once a month and is for people who are interested in working together on projects/activities that contribute to making Bundaberg an Age Friendly Community.

The Group is currently reviewing its Terms of Reference but broadly the intent of the group is to:

  • Sharing emerging trends, issues, barriers, needs and interests of our Seniors and taking action that improves lives and supports positive ageing. This includes not only sharing information but also committing to work together to plan and/or deliver activities that make difference, such as advocating on behalf of our Seniors, or hosting activities like a Seniors Yarning Circle, Cooking Up a Storm, raising awareness of Elder Abuse, or ensuring the needs and interests of Seniors are considered when organising events.
  • It also involves identifying opportunities to promote a positive image of older people by acknowledging and celebrating the abilities and contributions of older people.

Meetings are open to services, groups, clubs, interested Seniors and community advocates.

Currently, Council are Secretariat for the Seniors Alliance and by providing your details below, you agree to receiving invitation to upcoming meetings and distribution of minutes.
