Welcome to Bundaberg Regional Council's dedicated project engagement hub, Our Bundaberg Region.

We invite you to subscribe to get the latest information on projects that interest you.

There are also lots of other ways to get involved – through surveys and other feedback tools, depending on the project.

You’ll also be able to see the Timeline for each project – what has already been done and what is to come; photos of community engagement Council has carried out; and news stories.

Bundaberg Regional Council is committed to engaging the community in our projects and plans as we work together to build Australia’s best regional community!

Importantly, community engagement does not replace the decision-making functions of council.

There are many factors that can influence the decision-making process, including costs, technical aspects, environmental concerns, legal requirements and political commitment. Rather, these processes are designed to ensure that council has access to a broad range of information about community needs, opinions and options prior to decisions being made.

Without the input of the community, council cannot make a fully informed decision.

What’s more, the act of engaging gives the community the opportunity to understand the process and all the factors involved in council making its decisions.

We look forward to engaging with you.
