Great news for Kepnock residents.
Laurisen Park on Scotton Street will be upgraded, as part of Bundaberg Regional Council’s Parks Capital Works Program.
As well as replacing the existing playground, Council proposes to include new seating, a new picnic shelter, refurbishment of the existing basketball court and the widening of existing pathways. New shade trees will also be planted with some existing non-native trees removed.
This upgrade will ensure that the park supports the recreation needs of the surrounding community and is in keeping with Council infrastructure standards.
The draft concept plan, below, shows the proposed upgrades. Please give your feedback to Council by Sunday 6 March 2022 by filling out the feedback form.
