What is 'Do Your Thing'?

‘Do Your Thing’ is a community-owned and led approach that aims to improve health and wellbeing by supporting people to ‘do their thing’ and make healthy changes in their lives in ways that work for them.

The initiative is led by organisations and community groups committed to improving the way programs and services across nutrition, physical activity, mental health and social wellbeing sectors are coordinated, delivered, and communicated across the region.

    Who is involved?

Do Your Thing is a place-based, community-led initiative that brings together grass-roots community groups alongside local and state government to improve health and wellbeing in Bundaberg. The initiative is led in partnership with Bundaberg Regional Council, Health and Wellbeing Queensland and Queensland Government’s Department of Tourism and Sport.

Do Your Thing project partners comprise local, active members of the Bundaberg community who support the delivery of health and wellbeing projects, services, and infrastructure. Project partners support the on-ground delivery of Do Your Thing, collaborate for improved health and wellbeing outcomes and promote positive achievements in the region.
