Community Youth Collective

The Community Youth Collective would like to hear from youth around the region.

Who We Are

The Community Youth Collective (CYC) is a ‘collective’ of approximately 58 members of youth-based service providers, schools, community advocates and several government agencies, including local government, Youth Justice, and Queensland police. We are simply a group of like-minded individuals and organisations who are passionate about providing greater opportunities and positive impacts through community development for the region’s youth.

What We Do

We aim to listen to the voices of young people to promote initiatives, or deliver activities and events for young people. Especially those helping break down barriers and challenges for young people, and those empowering and providing greater opportunities!

Past CYC delivered or supported events included:

  • PCYC ColourXplosion 2025 Youth Week
  • Xmas at the Skate Park
  • FRRR ABC Heywire Youth Innovation Grant project
  • Careers Expo 2025

We hold meetings on the first Monday of each month from 1-2pm, location changes. If you are a young person, community advocate, service worker or other youth focused role and would like to join a meeting, please contact council's Community Development team ComDev@bundaberg.qld.gov.au, or 07 4130 4150.

We encourage all not for profit services, agencies, community groups and clubs to REGISTER for FREE in the Community Directory to develop the accessibility for community and help build a more connected region.

    We're a group that’s all about making life better for young people in our community — but we need your help to figure out what’s important to you and your mates.

    We're linking up with Student Councils, Breakfast Clubs, Chappies, and School Support Staff to get the inside scoop on what young people in Bundy really need. 

    This is your chance to speak up and have a say about events, challenges, and ideas for our community!

    How You Can Help: ✅ Chat with your Student Council reps ✅ Answer a quick survey (it’s not boring, we promise!) ✅ Share your ideas at Breaky Club or with your Chappy, CEC, or School Nurse ✅ Tell your friends to have their say too!

    Why Bother? Because your voice actually matters. This isn’t just some boring survey – it's your chance to shape what’s happening for young people in our community. 

    All ideas will be collected and passed on to help CYC plan awesome events and better support services for young people in Bundy.
