In 2025, the Mayor’s Christmas Appeal will raise funds to help make the season brighter for Bundaberg families. Thanks to the generosity of our community, trusted charity partners turn those contributions into festive hampers and gift vouchers filled with care, kindness and Christmas spirit.

Last year the Mayor’s Christmas Cheer Appeal supported 500 local families to make sure no one went hungry at Christmas.

History tells us this number increases every year.



2025 SPONSORSHIP PROPOSAL


It's through the generosity of businesses, organisations and individuals like you that we can help ensure no one feels forgotten at this time of year.

Mayor’s Christmas Appeal sponsorship packages are available at bronze, silver and gold levels.

Community members and businesses can also donate at Family level, a contribution of $100 that assists one family in the region.

Donations of any amount are welcome.

  • Council joins sponsors to boost hamper appeal

    Bundaberg Regional Council has joined sponsors and the community to boost the Mayor’s Christmas Cheer Appeal in an effort to provide 500 food hampers to residents in need this Christmas.

    Council voted at its Ordinary Meeting on Tuesday 28 November to donate $10,000 to the appeal.

  • Business sponsors help Christmas shine bronze

    The Mayor’s Christmas Cheer Appeal has gained an extra shine with two bronze sponsors, The Optical Superstore Bundaberg and Dons Fort Packing, donating $1,000 each to the fundraising initiative.

    Business support of the Appeal has been a major boost to this year’s fundraising campaign, which raises funds to provide food hampers for local residents in need of a helping hand to make their Christmas special.

  • Charities preparing to spread Christmas cheer

    Local charities are preparing to deliver Christmas hampers to people in need in the region as part of the Mayor’s Christmas Cheer Appeal.

    Citicoast Pantry Bundaberg has joined the Salvation Army, St Vincent de Paul’s Childers, Gin Gin Neighbourhood Hub and Childers Neighbourhood Centre as the charities distributing the hampers.

    Just over $7 from every Bundaberg Region 2022 bauble sold will be donated to the appeal, with a new bauble design to be launched every year.
