Will the boardwalk be accessible during the Merry and Bright event?
Yes. The boardwalk replacement will only take place in February 2023, so visitors to the Merry and Bright event in the Gardens in December 2022 will still be able to access the existing boardwalk. The boardwalk will also remain open during the December 2022 and January 2023 school holidays.
The work that is currently being carried out during October 2022, is the removal of a section of boardwalk that will not be replaced. This work is expected to be finalised during October 2022 well ahead of the Merry and Bright event.
