Council is undertaking a major project in the Branyan area - widening of the existing 6 metre sealed section of Bonna Road from Isis Highway to just South of Bush Road - to an 8 metre section with some realignment of existing curves.
The upgrade will also include installation of new stormwater components throughout the length of the project.

Council is utilising an open market tender to award the construction to a suitably qualified Principal Contractor.
Council will advise of the successful tenderer on award and provide contact details for onsite issues such as traffic management and staging of the works to affected residents.
Timeline is currently for construction from March to July 2024.
Update February 2024
SGQ Pty Ltd have been awarded the Bonna Road Widening Contract.
Construction is due to begin early March 2024
Currently the project is estimated to take approximately 5 months, weather permitting.
Construction activities are expected to be carried out between the following hours:
6:30 am and 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday
7:00 am and 2:30 pm Saturday, as required.
Works will be undertaken using traffic control and some lane closures.
Access to private properties adjoining the work areas will be maintained during the construction period.
Residents can expect changes to traffic conditions during this time and delays may be experienced.
