Update: May 2024

Bundaberg Regional Council has appointed LCB Civil Pty Ltd as Principal Contractor to undertake sea wall and sand nourishment works at Woodgate. These works are part of the Woodgate Shoreline Erosion Management Plan. The works will be undertaken at the location highlighted in red on the map above.

Work is planned to commence mid-May 2024 with completion by mid December 2024, weather permitting. Activities are expected to be carried out between the hours of 6.30am and 6.00pm Monday to Saturday. On occasion, activities may be required outside these hours to accommodate works around tide movements.

Works will be undertaken with changes to traffic conditions and delays may be experienced during this time. Access to private properties adjoining the work areas will be maintained during the works period.

Beach access restrictions will be in place around the immediate work site. The boat ramp will remain open for the duration of the works with limited parking available.

Bundaberg Regional Council is aware of the inconvenience this work causes and thanks businesses, residents and beach users in advance for their patience and co-operation.
