Skills and Drills

As part of the Eat, Breathe, Move program, Skills and Drills encouraged students to get involved with local sporting clubs and increase physical activity across the April, June/July and September 2023 school holidays.

Skills and Drills events were facilitated by a network of sporting clubs, schools and Council. Primary students had the opportunity to practice basic skills and try a variety of sporting and physical activities.

The Skills and Drills model was designed to reduce cost and commitment barriers for youth involvement, increase participation in sports clubs, and assist with resources to run events.

If you are a sporting club interested in being involved in future events please contact sportandrec@bundaberg.qld.gov.au

Eat, Breathe, Move was an initiative of the Building a Health Bundaberg Alliance. The project was funded under Round 2 of the ActiveKIT Program by the Department of Tourism, Innovation and Sport and Health and Wellbeing Queensland.
