Consultation has concluded

Background

Bundaberg Regional Council was approached by several residents in the Parklands Grange Estate, Branyan, in early May 2023 seeking options to improve recreational facilities in the area.

Community consultation

Council held community consultation at Parklands Estate Park with approximately 27 residents (adults and children) on Wednesday 17 May 2023 to further discuss opportunities.

Council supports the community's request and has resolved to develop a dirt pump track to better meet the needs of school aged children in the surrounding area.

Pump track, location and size

The pump track will be located in the Parklands Estate Park on Parklands Drive and will consist of tracks and jumps - approximately 30 metres long and 10 metres wide in the location shown in yellow on the map below.

The pump track will be located a safe distance from the existing playground facilities, walking path and road.

Pump track, design and maintenance

Council staff will discuss design options with families who have expressed interest in this project. If you would also like to have input into the design and have not already provided your contact details to Council, please email your details to parksadministration@bundaberg.qld.gov.au or phone Council on 1300 883 699.

You can also register for Updates on the "Stay Informed" box at the top right hand side of this page.

The pump track will be designed to accommodate varying skill levels and be built to the required safety standards. Council will undertake yearly maintenance on the track, or as deemed necessary.
