Bundaberg Regional Libraries has branches in Bundaberg, Childers, Gin Gin, and Woodgate Beach. The library offers a diverse range of services for all ages including physical and digital resources for loan, wifi and computer use, children’s and early literacy programs, technology and digital literacy sessions, and author talks.

While aligning with and supporting Council’s vision, values, and Corporate Plan, the Libraries also have a vision and mission which is at the core of library strategy. Our vision and mission are:

  • Vision: To be the heart of an engaged, creative, and connected community.
  • Mission: To enrich our community by seeking to provide opportunities for all to learn, grow, relax, and thrive in inviting, contemporary libraries.

Bundaberg Regional Libraries is undergoing the development of a new strategic plan for 2024-2029 and this survey is intended to provide community feedback to assist in its completion. It will aid us in planning for the future and in directing resources towards to meeting community needs while aligning with library and corporate strategic goals.

In addition to guiding the Libraries’ future direction, a strategic or business plan is a requirement of the Libraries’ annual reporting to the State Library of Queensland. The State Library provides annual grant funding to Queensland public libraries for the purchase of library materials (books, eBooks, etc) and early childhood literacy (First 5 Forever).

We welcome and appreciate your feedback to help us contribute to building Australia’s best regional community.

The survey can be completed online below. If you would like a paper copy please pick one up from Council Libraries or Council's Administration Centre or email egagement@bundaberg.qld.gov.au.
