Bush Tucker Talk

Young people who are part of the Green Book youth project had a firsthand experience learning about native plants and their uses during the Bush Tucker Garden Tour with Ray Johnson at Gin Gin Landcare on Friday 11 December.

They also learnt how to make potting mix and planted a bush tucker plant to take home.

It was also a unique opportunity to learn about indigenous symbols and their meanings with Faren Munro, member of the Jinjinburra Aboriginal Corporation.

Green Book youth members had a great time painting boomerangs, gaining an understanding of the symbols and their significance.
